A heartfelt thanks from Festival Coordinator Sheila Vanloo
So our Festival of Fun is over, the weekend was manic and now it's time to thank people - it's a very long list and I am currently broken, so if I forget anyone feel free to send abuse!
Firstly, this Festival would not have happened without the incredible skills of Sarah Pym who wrote the funding bids that secured most of the finances to bring the Festival to life. Thank you Sarah for going above and beyond everything I asked of you.
Thank you to the venues who hosted events... - St. Austell Library, Wheal Martyn Museum, White River Cinema, St. Austell Arts Theatre, St. John's Church, St. Austell Market House, White River Place/Aylmer Square, The White Hart, Moustache Jacks, St. Austell Brewery Visitor Centre, Holy Trinity Church, Keay Theatre/St. Austell College, SNAP Fitness Gym and to St. Austell Town Council for lending us Truro Road Park.
Massive thanks to our sponsors and supporters for their funding in money and in kind - too many to mention, but they are all listed on our website.
Thanks to our wonderful entertainers, too many to list individually, but they are leaders, singers, dancers, circus performers, storytellers, choirs, drummers, magicians, comedians and musicians.
Thanks to our fitness, health and wellbeing practitioners.
Thanks to the King & Queen of the quiz questions - Laura Sandy & Ian Lay.
Thanks to all the wonderful people I liaised with at the various venues - you're all so easy to work with.
Thanks to my lovely, supportive team at RSAB, always ready to join in any and all community events.
Thanks to my friends from Stout Security who are always there for events when I need them.
Thanks to Vanessa Geiger and Jill Trewhella for giving up their Saturday morning.
Thanks to our judges for giving up their time to judge bonnets and pooches!
Thanks to Restormel Arts Director Mike Hackney for looking after the website despite dealing with family tragedy.
Thanks to everyone at St. Austell TIC/CRBO
Thanks to the legends and friends that are Martin Bate, John Cornfield, Jonathan Stamp, Chris Lane, Harry Collier and Sam Briggs.
Thanks to Tim Vigus and his team of lovely guys.
Thanks to Brian Sheen at Roseland Observatory, Laura Pedlar and Brannel School.
Thanks to our community who turned up to take part in all the free events and those who paid for ticketed events, I hope you all had fun.
As always, my little blonde pal worked her socks off to help me in more ways than I deserve. Louise Martin, thanks for being on the end of the phone to hear the endless rants and a few tears, for regularly turning up with a much needed hug and a bottle of wine and sharing the laughs and triumphs.
Last, but not least, massive thanks to a small bunch of fellow Directors at Restormel Arts who can always be relied upon to step up,be supportive and work bloody hard - it's been a long, hard 15 months, but thanks to Sandy French 'Undisputed Queen of the Raffles', Andy Ward, Jonathan Aberdeen and Sandra Heyward - we did it!!
Many thanks to our sponsors and supporters
